Abrantes – Anadia Zone Electric Power Line, 400 kV

Goals

  • Strengthen the Portuguese National Electricity Transmission Grid (RNT) to allow for a significant increase in the reception and flow capacity of new renewable generation;
  • Enable the grid to respond to expressions of interest submitted to the Portuguese National Electricity Transmission operator for the development of new photovoltaic power plant projects.
  • Contribute to meet the renewable energy targets set out in the Portuguese National Energy and Climate Plan 2030 (to accommodate new renewable generation).
